Founder Gerry Knight spent over 25 years in the dairy industry, where he developed strong practical skills in soil management, irrigation, drainage, and plant health, skills that carried naturally into landscaping and lawn care. Working on farms also taught Gerry the importance of hard work, problem-solving, and doing a job properly the first time.
Those values still guide the business today.

Gerry Knight
Founder & Director
Gerry has over 25 years of experience working with land, soils, and plant systems. Before starting Time Lawns & Landscaping, he worked full-time in the dairy industry, gaining hands-on knowledge in irrigation, drainage, and land management.
These skills now form the foundation of the business and help ensure every project is approached with a practical, long-term mindset.
Gerry has also completed the New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture (Level 3), strengthening his knowledge in plant care, soils, and landscaping practices.
He enjoys meeting clients, understanding their ideas, and seeing projects come together from start to finish.

Nic Knight
Landscaping Construction & Project Lead
Nic plays a key role in delivering landscaping projects and brings a strong construction background to the team. He takes pride in seeing a project transform from start to finish making sure every detail is done properly.
He leads many jobs on site, making sure everything is organised, built properly, and completed to a high standard. From fencing and decking to paving and full landscape builds, Nic focuses on doing things right with no shortcuts.
Outside of work, Nic enjoys training, listening to music, and spending time with his two dogs.

Annette Hoorens
Administration Manager & Creative Support
Annette helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She manages administration, client communication, and project coordination, making sure jobs stay organised and on track.
Annette also brings a creative touch to the business. She enjoys helping with plant selection, layout ideas, and adding details that bring outdoor spaces together.
Like Gerry, she has completed the New Zealand Certificate in Horticulture (Level 3), giving her strong knowledge in plants, soils, and landscaping.
Outside of work, Annette enjoys gardening, spending time with family, playing volleyball, and supporting the Crusaders
